Drennon Project

This project is a great representation of utilizing every inch of a tight backyard. With such a limited space, careful planning and design were imperative for each element we sought to fit in. We started by utilizing the home’s existing covered patio and extending the outdoor living area from there. You will notice that our addition perfectly blends with the home’s existing ceiling. The outdoor kitchen features white tile laid at a 45-degree angle to add some interest while blending well with the home’s brick.

We placed the Spa and Wet Lounging spaces close to the outdoor living area to maintain a centralized feeling for the main lounging areas in the backyard. This highlights the entertainment-focused nature of our clients and how they wanted each of these elements to interact with each other. On the far end of the yard, we created a sunken fire pit area that added a layer of dimension to this rather flat backyard. This design allows our clients to have an eye-level view of the water as they sit around the fire with their friends and family, making it the “Hot Spot” for their guests!

The three-column water features are centered on the living room windows and wrapped in a marble tile that matches the client’s interior kitchen backsplash, creating a seamless flow from the interior to the exterior. This is a view that no one can miss when walking through the front door and looking into this stunning backyard!
